Personal reflection · With Judith Sullivan

A reflection on your relationship with medicines

Video · 0:43

In this short video, I offer a personal experiment: take a moment to speak an intention aloud when you take your medicine.

Putting the intention into words

The words I suggest are a request for the medicine to work with my body for its highest possible good. I also say to use whatever words feel right for you.

I describe this as something I have found personally helpful. The useful focus here is the pause and the intention: noticing how you feel about taking medicine, rather than doing it without a thought.

Follow the directions from your prescriber and pharmacist. Speaking to medicine does not alter its effectiveness or side effects. Do not stop or change medication because of this video.
