The temporal slide: a moment of light touch

Video · 0:32

This is a very short demonstration of a technique I call the temporal slide. The movement is small, and the touch is very, very light.

Watch the placement of my fingers

I slide my fingers lightly upward along the area of the temporal bone behind the ear. You can see the placement clearly in the video. I show that you can use one hand or both hands.

I offer this as something to explore when you feel stressed. There is no complicated sequence to remember. Notice the lightness of the contact and how it feels to you.

These videos are for education and body awareness. Bodywork does not replace medical care. Stay within a comfortable range and stop if a movement or touch hurts.

Notes adapted from Judith’s spoken demonstration. Watch the video for the full explanation.
