This video moves through the body with light tapping. The part I especially want you to remember is the pause at the end: stop, feel your body, and give yourself time to notice it.
Following the demonstration
I begin by talking about the lymph system and showing a model of the small intestine. Then I move into a tapping sequence, beginning at the head and working through the neck, shoulders, torso, arms and legs.
I remind you that the arms and legs have more than a front and a back. The demonstration includes the sides, too. The emphasis is on bringing attention around the body, rather than rushing through a list of places.
Notice sensation without forcing a result
At the end, I stop and suggest taking about thirty seconds to feel the body. I describe a tingling sensation, but the useful thing is to notice your own experience rather than try to manufacture a particular feeling.
If you are interested in the lighter touch I use around the head and shoulders, the lymph and sinus video shows a different, very gentle approach.
This is a body-awareness demonstration, not medical lymphatic drainage or a treatment for swelling. Avoid painful or injured areas, and ask a qualified healthcare professional about any diagnosed lymphatic condition.
