What is Zero Balancing?
Zero Balancing is a form of bodywork that uses gentle pressure and points of support called fulcrums. It brings attention to the structure of the body and the experience of energy and movement.
I use Zero Balancing as the foundation for combining the other approaches I practice, including Craniosacral Therapy and Visceral Manipulation. Sessions are individual, and the work varies from person to person.
What happens in a session?
We begin by talking about what brings you in. You remain clothed while I work with gentle pressure and movement. I draw on the approaches that make up my practice, including Craniosacral Therapy, Zero Balancing and Visceral Manipulation.
You can ask questions or ask me to adjust or pause the work at any time. At the end, we can discuss what you noticed and whether to schedule another appointment.
My Zero Balancing practice and teaching
I began studying with Fritz Smith, MD, in 1983. I have since developed Secrets of the Skull, Spirit of the Organs, ZBKids and Fabulous Fulcrums for the Zero Balancing Health Association.
I am also the author of Zero Balancing Expanded: The Attitude of Awaiting a Fish, a book for students and practitioners. Alongside my teaching and writing, I continue to see private clients.

How does Zero Balancing differ from massage?
Zero Balancing uses gentle pressure and points of support called fulcrums. It focuses on the body’s structure and the quality of contact. If you are looking for a specific kind of massage, call me to discuss whether my work is a fit.
